Love, unchanging love, true love. That place we all seek, for we all seek comfort, to be loved just as we are. New love sees excitedly, expansively. New love accepts what is. The birth of a baby, the meeting of a life partner, a new friend. Life is filled with ease in the beginning of new love, life is glorious in the beginning of new love, joy fills us and expands us, until…..paroxysm enters. In the beginning it is easy to love, to follow the words in 1 Peter 4:8, to love deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. The joys within overlook, we overlook with ease and pardon, ahh, life is glorious. Oh yes, until one day we suddenly realize, the challenge of being out of our comfort zone, of loving what is, loving the irritating habits or differences. The shadows seen previously in joy are no longer an ease to witness and the other is diminished in their glory, or perhaps the needs of the child bring up fears or anger in the adult or the new friend has differing values.
Loving unconditionally, just as we are loved by Our Creator, Our Source, God. We are taught that God is love (John 4:8). We have also been taught about God’s wrath, most of us were brought up in fear and judgements. This notion of the wrath of God left me conflicted about God when I was younger, until I studied more deeply the mystics. When I learned to view the Jesus I know through a lens without the wrath of God, I came to realize and continue to realize more deeply, love is all there is. Synonyms for unconditional love include unchanging love, love without conditions. This is now the God I know, not the wrathful God of my upbringing.
Matthew 5:45 shares that God allows the sun to rise on the good and the bad, God loves everyone, even those who are filled with sin. When fear arises, it is like the root of a paroxysm. A sudden attack of beliefs and thoughts that oneself or another is not a good enough life partner, not a good enough parent, not a good enough friend. That is sin, the root of evil. God’s love for us is unchanging. The wrath is within us, the parts of us that are displayed when we forget who we are, our relationship with our divineness. For we have all been “unrighteous”. When we return to the love of God, we are “made right”. Oh, how I love the message of the mystics, that Jesus’ resurrection saves us, from eternal damnation. Hell, reigns on earth, Jesus arose from death, showing us, we can overcome our fears, our own hells we create and participate in. We can create anew, we can connect to and receive loving messages, just as Jesus modeled.
We are eternal beings, take comfort! When paroxysms arise, take comfort. Yes, we have accountability, we are responsible for our actions. We are allowed to “make right”. In God’s love we can continue to live in glory, joy and ease. This is the message I receive from the Jesus I know. I am forgiven, and I learn how to forgive when I am taught how to forgive through the Jesus I know. I learn how to accept life and what life brings through the Jesus I know. I learn love through the Jesus I know. 1 Peter 3: 3–4. We are worthy, groom from within. That is how we cultivate love, from within. It begins with love of self, being you — returning to your divineness, and loving others. Learning unconditional love is an earthly journey, as above so below takes on a new meaning. The focus on others faults and the judgements I have placed on others can be forgiven, I can gain unchanging love for others, I can reduce hell’s impact on earth. That is glorious, that I am allowed to try again, just as Jesus showed me.
The theme of my writings embed mystical Christ: Love, Acceptance, Forgiveness. The Power of Words to heal.
Gifts from the opposites (there is no light without darkness) = Love. Jesus taught us love.
Gifts from paradox (2 differing truths embrace truth) = Acceptance. Jesus taught us acceptance.
Gifts from pausing (process the emotions and thoughts, reconnect to higher divine beingness, go and sin no more, let go) = Forgiveness. Jesus taught us forgiveness.
